The insulating foam for this cooler is at an awkward thickness. It is too thick such that the cooler's structure cannot be collapsed without damaging the cooler, but not thick enough to provide adequate insulation for ice-retention. Ice lasts less than a day.Performance-wise, this cooler reminds me of those cheap tote-style cooler bags. But at least those totes can be folded flat. This cooler has to be kept in its "block" shape, even in storage. In a one-sentence summary: I'd say this cooler has none of the benefits of a soft-cooler, none of the benefits of a hard-cooler, but has the shortfalls of each.+1 star because it's otherwise a durable cooler with high-quality craftsmanship you'd expect from Dakine... just very poor performance and design.Bought for a discounted price on here due to color but well worth full price too. Great for lunch for work, beach trips or whatever.Great size and functional for beach camping and pool. High qualityThis doesn't feel as solid as a yeti, but is a third of the price. It works well for single days at the beach/lake. Keeps food and drinks cold for a day. I wouldn't plan on it staying cold for more than a day. The can bandolier (candolier?) is hilarious and awesome. Fun cooler that has held up well for a season of use. I bought it on a pretty decent discount, but at full price still seems like a pretty good value.Way too expensive for a normal cooler,i thought it was tougher
