OH MY GOD ITS SO FLUFFY!!!It holds it's shape well due to the fact it's not chiffon. However, because it's NOT chiffon, it is not as soft against the skin. This isn't really an issue provided you wear tap pants under it.**Would be fantastic for heavy fabrics like velvet, polyester, heavy cotton, twills etc. light weight, go with chiffon.Side note: get your shower as hot as possible, put a pant hanger on the elastic, and soak that fluffy thing! The heat relaxed the fabric and the weight of all the absorbed water will straighten it out some. That way it's more of a bell shape and not a square dancers. (Unless you're into that sort of thing. I don't judge) LOLOver all, goes great with my genuine '54 cat glasses, '55 dress and all the other vintage patterns I have.HIGHLY recommended!**=unless using light weight fabrics or have extremely sensitive skin.I sew costumes, and had been using my grandmother's vintage petticoats for years. I recently purchased a petticoat of this same style # in red at a thrift store, and I really liked the fullness of it. When I needed one in cream (ivory) color, I decided to purchase a new Malco, and was happy to find that the same style number is still being manufactured. It comes squished into a tiny little package, but I put it in the dryer for a few minutes on delicate/low heat, and it really fluffed up. It worked nicely under my costume, and I am already planning on purchasing more in the future. The color selection offered is really great too. In my opinion, this petticoat is best for costumes or square dancing...it is very full. If you are looking for a petticoat for vintage or vintage inspired clothing, please consider Malco #578 or #591.Always good products it’s very pretty and does everything I want. Glad I got itLoved this petticoat. Wore it under my short-length wedding dress. Made in the USA and that's great. If I were to have changed anything about it, sometimes the bulk gets shifted around your waist a little unevenly requiring an adjustment to keep things hanging correctly. Maybe the elastic could have had the petticoat material tacked to it in a few places to avoid that problem. If I were to wear it again I'd just tack it in a couple of spots probably.I already loved malco modes but THIS IS IT. This is the one. I want one in every color and I will never buy another petticoat. It's soft, as all their petticoats are. It's fluffy in just the perfect way and it flares out when you spin JUST LIKE YOU WANT IT TO. The color is a perfect blush pink. Absolutely no cons to this purchase. It is worth every penny.I searched for months looking for the perfect shade of purple and I finally found it. It looks amazing under my dress and the affect it gives is what I wanted.Fits well, cute and feminine. A fun accessory for SWING DANCING!I ordered this to wear under a 50's style dress. I got it in a good amount of time but it was so stiff that it made my dress stick out in random directions and I couldn't get it to look nice I even tried cutting a layer of it off and it still looked terrible under my dress. I ended up just throwing it in the trash.
